I have a BA in History and Education, a Master’s degree in Psychology and I have completed a large number of professional development courses (Existential Analysis, Systemic Family Therapy, Perinatal Psychology, Solution Focused Brief Psychotherapy, Child Therapy, Sexology, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Trauma-focused Therapy, Coaching, Professional Supervision, etc.) through which I have developed my integrative approach. This training has resourced me with a variety of techniques to face a wide range of client’s needs.
Continuing Professional Development
My professional affiliation is with New Zealand Association of Counsellors (click here to find more>>>). Every single year, as a Full member of NZAC, I have to renew my Annual Practicing Certificate which requires continuing professional development and regular professional supervision. You are most welcome to see the full list of my professional education and development (click here to find more>>>).
I speak fluently four languages (Romanian, Russian, English, Spanish) and my clients are from all over the world. I work online using Skype, Zoom, FaceTime, Facebook Messenger or Google Talk.
I have been in private practice since 2009. I came to New Zealand in 2013, prior to that in Europe I was (and I am) a registered psychotherapist working with individuals, couples and families using the systemic family approach.
I have rich experience in perinatal counseling and therapy for couples with relationship issues, broader family issues, difficult decisions and anxiety around pregnancy, the transition to parenthood, depression, antenatal and postnatal distress, parent-infant relationship issues, career and motherhood (or returning to work after the birth of a baby). I work with perinatal grief and loss (miscarriage, stillbirth loss of a baby) and post-abortion syndrome. Also, I worked with women and couples who struggle with infertility and provided psychological support of ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology). See more...
I was involved in a number of social support projects for children in need, orphans living in subsistence, teenage girls at risk (including sex trafficking), and foster families. Also, I provided counseling services to families with children with physical and mental difficulties, traumatic brain injury, etc.
